Transparent Wall II
Exhibition within the ArtMonaster project on 9th November 2013 at 8.30 p.m. at the Galeria Dolors Ventós in Figueres.
Núria Duran’s installation entitled “Transparent Wall” proposes a reflection on the invisible or the unsaid as a significant part of reality. A recurring theme in her work is the polarities which complement one another, walls and transparencies, opposites which frequently coexist. Fragility and strength, opacity and transparency. Weaving using colour and organic structures to give body to absent spaces, to the unsaid, to the invisible and the transparent. The installation consists of an 2.90 by 1.50 cm elastic stretch of fabric hand-woven from wool, threads, fabrics and wood, manipulated with pictorial procedures and stretched between two columns of the monastery.
