Interconnected
Núria Duran presents a part of her new phase of research, proposing dialogues between the transition from the individual to the collective using cellular fabrics, rigid and flexible membranes, which form bodies of colour and transparencies that come together in subtle communicating spaces. Finding each other, connecting with one another and the power of the collective are key concepts at the start of this new stage of her work.
In recent years her investigations have focused on the micro space of life, the cell as an axis and starting point; exploring with different materials gives form to these organic, soft and fragile structures, which at times are transformed into thin membranes which allow us to see the world through them.
Núria Duran is not seeking equality or repetition in her webs, quite the contrary: she seeks diversity, exploring the curves, creating communicating vessels, connecting the bodies with her body, which is increasingly present in her creative process. She seeks to enter into a dialogue with these structures or architectures, beginning to work in future performance projects.
